My opinion is that the holy Trinity is more of a burden than an injection of variety into the game.Īs someone who also plays fill mostly i can tell you that after a whole game of me and 3 other guys in my team telling our junk/hanzo dps combo to swap to another dps or another role because shit is not dying and getting ignored i will pick my tracer/genji and go ham on the enemys.Īs support i can safe my team more than once, i can have nanoboost up all few seconds but if nothing dies its all useless. What do you think? I think the game would be less toxic. Everyone has the same HP and there's no healing. It just had different heroes with different DPS mechanics. Imagine if Overwatch had no healers or tanks. So what's my point? My point is.I believe the tanking/healing/DPS Trinity isnt needed. This tells me that most people prefer to DPS than heal, which I don't think many people will argue. Now, I'd say that unless I pick first, I will almost always fill as second healer. So what does all this mean? Are people just too 'greedy' and want to be the star of the show? Maybe DPS is easier to play? In fact, in many games, the healers and tanks get frustrated and swap into DPS because they feel they could do better. Sure, you might main Road hog or Mercy, but you have to admit that most games consist of people begrudgingly swapping from their favourite DPS to heal or tank. OK.so I think I can safely say that most Overwatch players prefer to DPS.
